Democrat House Managers Drag On Impeachment Trial

The Senate voted on Day 5 of the impeachment trial to allow the House managers and Trump defense team to call witnesses.

Five Republicans- including Sen. Collins, Murkowski, Romney, Sasse and Graham - joined Democrats to vote for calling at least one witness.

Graham who had initially voted against calling witnesses later changed his vote a "yes" vote. He said that Trump's defense will call many witnesses now the House managers have decided to prolong the trial by calling witnesses.

It's unclear at this time how many witnesses will be subpoenaed since it's still subject to further debates and votes.

During the vote the question arose how what exactly they were voting on, one witness or more and Leahy who is overseeing the trial gaveled everyone down refusing to answer the question.
