President Trump: “The Infrastructure Bill Is A Disgrace”

President Trump sent out a lengthy statement that showed his disapproval of the “disgraceful”  trillion dollar infrastructure bill that is sitting before the Senate.

In his statement Trump blasted Republican Mitch McConnell and other RINOS for playing into the Democrats hands for not using the debt ceiling card to create an actual good infrastructure package.

Trump went on to bash the infrastructure bill for not having to do anything with infrastructure at all but rather he declared it’s a way for the Government to track vehicles and tax drivers.

To conclude his statement he added that the infrastructure bill will just be a trojan horse used by the Democrats to eventually pass the Green New Deal.

The New York Post covered Trump’s comments:

President Donald Trump ripped the Senate’s $1 trillion infrastructure package Saturday as a “disgrace,” warning that he was prepared to withhold his support for any Republican that was on board with it.

“Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill will be used against the Republican Party in the upcoming elections in 2022 and 2024. It will be very hard for me to endorse anyone foolish enough to vote in favor of this deal,” Trump warned, taking aim at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on his negotiating prowess.

“If Mitch McConnell was smart, which we’ve seen no evidence of, he would use the debt ceiling card to negotiate a good infrastructure package,” Trump hissed.

Senate Majority leader Chuck Schumer is pushing to pass the package on Saturday, fulfilling one of President Biden’s signature campaign promises.

OAN got the scoop too:

President Trump took aim at the bipartisan Senate infrastructure package ahead of a vote to end debate on the proposal. In a statement on Saturday through his Save America PAC, the 45th president called the bill a disgrace.

He called it “a gift to the Democrat Party compliments of Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and some RINOs who have no idea what they’re doing.” Trump also doubted if lawmakers have even read the entirety of the 2,700 page measure.

He added if McConnell were smart, he would use the debt ceiling credit card to negotiate a good infrastructure package. Trump cautioned it would be very hard for him to endorse anyone “foolish enough to vote in favor of this deal.”

Trump is absolutely right a bill that is over 2,700 pages is dangerous considering half of the members in Senate probably didn’t even read it.

In one part of the 2,700 page infrastructure bill is a hidden cryptocurrency tax that expands the tax code’s definition of “broker” to basically everyone in crypto.

If this bill doesn’t get amended or voted down then mining and staking crypto could possibly be illegal in the US too.
