Jason Miller Confirms Trump’s Developing Own Social Media Program: “This will knock your socks off”
Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller confirmed for the first time that former President Donald Trump is developing his own social media program. Rumors have been swirling for months about Trump’s plans for social media but nothing was officially confirmed until yesterday. when Miller went on Newsmax and said it was in Beta testing.
“They never want him to get back on,” Miller told Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield of Facebook’s decision to suspend Trump for two years. “That’s why President Trump is designing his own social media program. I know the media is attacking him and trying to dunk on the President and saying ‘Ok. We’ll believe it when we see it.’ Well, let me tell you. Something very special is coming and President Trump will be back.”
Miller said of the launch date for Trump’s new venture, “This summer is realistic. I’d say at the short end, maybe four to six weeks from now.” He added, “Trump has taken two dozen maybe thirty different pitches and presentations and what he comes out with will knock your socks off.
“At the long end, I’d say at the absolute latest, somewhere in the Labor Day range but definitely over the summer.”
“Could potentially see even close to 4th of July. That may be pushing it just a little bit,” Miller said.
“What [Trump] is coming out with is very special. And I promise you, this will knock your socks off,” Miller said.
Miller posted an article from the Hill on social media that said Trump was pitched on the idea to run for a House seat in Florida so he could be named Speaker of the House when the GOP wins back in 2022.
From The Hill:
Former President Trump on Friday called a proposal that he run for the House in 2022 to try to win the speaker’s gavel “interesting,” though the chances of him actually doing so remain low.
Trump was asked about the proposal by far-right radio host Wayne Allyn Root on Friday after Steve Bannon, a former adviser to the ex-president, floated the idea.
“That’s so interesting,” Trump said.
“Yeah, you know it’s very interesting,” Trump added, saying that others had suggested he run for Senate. “But you know what, your idea might be better. It’s very interesting.”
Trump has floated a potential comeback bid for the White House in 2024 since leaving office earlier this year, though speculation over a congressional campaign and an opportunity to lead the House has not gained significant traction.
